- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They messed up my credit score on a few occasions. Not only with my mortgage when I had in fact paid under a plan they provided. Also, collections sent confusing and incorrect documents for a cc my ex was supposed to pay on--while their reps called and harassed me. They wouldn't let me get Mortgage statements on the mortgage I was on, but made sure I paid, because my ex wouldn't respond. Then I tried to get a new mortgage for half the cost I had been paying for a property they had foreclosed on and they wouldn't let me, because they don't loan on their own property? Um. Okay. They also said I couldn't afford it, despite I would be paying half of what I had been. Again, not really understanding that mentality. And I just learned they try to circumvent employment laws by sending "surveys" to prior employees through the candidates. I have worked in HR for 15 years and can tell you the law states you can only say dates of service and title. It is employee verification, that's it.
